I was born and raised in Sunbury, PA and am a graduate of Shikellamy High School. My wife Amanda and I still reside here and have 5 beautiful children, Dakota, Chelsie, Tristan, Hailey and Landen. I enjoy coaching baseball and football and have also coached basketball in the past. I love being a coach, and find it rewarding to know some of the players who I have coached as kids, have grown into caring and compassionate adults.
Growing up I attended Grace Lutheran Church, but never had a relationship with God. Through baseball I reconnected with two friends from high school, who would talk to me about God. I started attending SCC to support one of those friends, who played keyboard for the worship team and found the message of the Gospel refreshing and inviting. I was so encouraged that I had to share my experience with my wife. For the first time, I was hearing God’s words.
Since coming to faith, I have found a peace in my life that was missing. I learned how to forgive because God has forgiven me. Even when I turned my back on God, he never turned away from me. I love sharing the gospel with others, in hope that they too will find peace and come to faith.
Sunbury City Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who love God, live the gospel, embrace our community, and plant movements.
