Here is an update from one of our Pillar Network Church Partners:
We have received an update from one of our network planters, Derek Logsdon, who is being sent out by Rich Pond Baptist (a like-minded church) in Bowling Green, KY. The community in which they minister has been significantly impacted by last week's tornadoes. To date, there have been 15 deaths, with 22 missing and they expect the casualty rate to increase throughout the area. The neighborhood in which Derek resides was among the hardest hit and they will not have power back for 1-3 months. Furthermore, Derek described the conditions as "chaotic" and that local government entities are doing what they can to help locate the missing. Below are some images capturing the level of devastation.
Derek strongly encouraged us to pray for them and their community as the needs and hurts are daunting. Furthermore, if you would like to donate to Derek's sending church, Rich Pond, you can visit the link: Donate and select "Disaster Relief" from the drop down menu. As more updates come our way, we will do our best to keep you informed of other opportunities to assist our brothers and sisters in western Kentucky.
Thank you for your prayers and generosity!
